What is the Modern Studies Educational Trust?

The Modern Studies Educational Trust (MSET) was established in 1972 to promote Modern Studies-based learning opportunities. The Trust organises a number of national competitions and seeks to recognise excellence in Modern Studies. The Trust has two meetings per year, April and October.

What kinds of learning opportunities does the Trust support?

The Trust makes grants in two main areas:

  1. Modern Studies-based visits. In recent years, the Trust has given support to groups visiting the Houses of Parliament, the European Parliament and the United Nations HQ in New York.
  2. Pupil conferences and MSA branch-led quizzes.
